By now I am sure everyone knows how much I adore The Dresden Files by Jim Butcher. However, for those of you who just landed on this planet and are unaware… The Dresden Files are a series of books written by novelist extraordinaire Jim Butcher. One might wonder what a book about a butt-kicking, gun toting female rebelling against the male-dominated patriarchy is doing with a 4.8 rating. Simple. It’s a great idea. But it is a great idea executed poorly. While Wray’s anguished, nonconformist main character is sympathetic and believable (for the most part) the two dimensional plot and the ham-handed supporting cast render it less than ideal.
