Doing the the dance of joy !!!! Let me be the first to congratulate you all. I l-o-v-e the Hurog books and now someone like Joe Manganiello is going to narrate them? So when will this be ready?
HURRAY!! VERY VERY excited!! Thanks Ladies.
Love Patricia Briggs. Will be delighted when this one is released !!
I haven’t tried a new fantasy author in ages. Is Briggs any good? Who would you say her books are most like?
Great news! Now I need to read the duology again so that I can be ready for the Dragon Bones audiobook.
Yes she is terrific. I guess more people know her for her urban fantasy, especially her Mercy Thompson series. This is more like classic fantasy because there are dragons and kingdoms and great battles etc but it is dark fantasy. I like my fantasy the way I like my chocolate, dark with rasberry filling. Hurog is like that. Ward is like that. Not sickly sweet but captivating.

Briggs is great. Her Mercy Thompson series is a must read if you like urban fantasy. Dragon Bones is a classic and traditional fantasy – dragons – swords – magic, all the good stuff.
henwy~ Patty Briggs rocks. As has been said above, most know her from the Mercy Thompson and spin off series Alpha and Omega and they rock, but I REALLY love Hurog. All out horse and sword fantasy with DRAGONS!! “Hurog means Dragons, you know.” Can Not wait!!
Another great aspect of Dragons Bones is character development. While Briggs takes time to develop Ward as the classic hero, she also creates strong female characters, not “over the top feminism”, but strong females who also have a very soft side to them.
::happy dance:: have been so waiting for these books to come out!! Awesome!!
Interesting. I think I heard about the Mercy Thompson series but never actually read anything from it. The Dresden Files is my first venture into Urban Fantasy and I’ve loved it enough to give some others a try. I had been thinking about delving into Laurel K Hamilton’s work…but I hear her recent books aren’t worth the read unless you’re looking for unconventional porn. I’ll give Briggs a whirl and see how it goes.
Thanks for the info.
This sounds like a good book. I have never heard of her before this. I am now going to start reading her books.
i used to watch One Tree Hill on my girlfriends house. great tv series.”,.
one is the name of that hunk in One Tree Hill ?~~-
