I don’t understand why people think Martha Jones isn’t as popular. And why people are annoyed at the fact that she has a crush on the Doctor. If you would have met someone like that, you can’t help but develop some sort of fascination and interest. I believe Martha represents the reality that once you do travel with the Doctor, and might develop some feelings, but understand that under the circumstances that she was given, she knew it wouldn’t work out. The reason why Martha is such a dynamic character ( I don’t know why people say she’s a crap actress), she has an inner struggle within her and you can tell that she just wants to fling her arms around the Doctor and express her feelings. But she doesn’t and there’s always a moment of resistance in her eyes and the way her lips tighten. And also, she’s not boring. There’s nothing more boring than to watch a girl be helpless and to expect, of course, someone to save her.

Also, it’s so annoying to constantly hear that Martha isn’t Rose. She isn’t Rose. Obviously not. No one gave her a chance and have her character be fully developed, and people just kept having the mentality, “She’s never going to be just like Rose.” Shut yer trap. The same thing comes out of your mouth whenever a new doctor arrives. David Tennant was awesome. Matt Smith is also awesome.
